Notes

The Notes features allows you to view and capture notes against a contract, so that you and your team can use it for future references.

Accessing Notes

The Notes icon is accessible from:

  • The Document Family, if at least one document has a note, an indicator is visible on the Notes icon, click the icon to view comments added by your team at the Account and Document level. To know more, refer here.

  • The Contract Summary page of a document with a count indicator on the icon. Click the icon to view comments added by your team at the Document level. You can access the Contract Summary page from Document Family, to know more, click here.

To view and add notes, click a document from the document hierarchy and click the Notes icon.

Viewing and Adding Notes

In order to add notes against a contract for your personal reference or for your team to use as a future reference, do the following steps:

  1. From the Document summary page, click the Notes icon.
    If notes from you or your team have been previously captured, you can view the same.

  2. In the Write a note.. text box, type notes relevant to the document.

  3. To attach any supporting documentation as part of the added note, click the attach a file icon and choose a file to upload.

  4. Click the send icon.

Note that, there is no limit to the number of notes or number of attachments that can be added against a contract. Ensure that the size limit of an individual attachment is 45 MB.

Modifying Note

In case of any errors seen in the previously added notes, you can use the edit feature to modify the note.

  1. From the term details page, click the Notes icon.

  2. Click Edit below the note you want to modify.

  3. Edit the relevant information. Here, you can also add a rich text by simply selecting a text to highlight, change the font size and so on.

  4. To attach any supporting documentation as part of the modified note, click the attach a file icon and choose a file to upload.

  5. Click the send icon.

Deleting Note

In case there are any irrelevant notes and attachments that you previously added against a contract can be removed using the delete feature.

  1. From the term details page, click the Notes icon.

  2. Click Delete below the note you want to remove.

  3. The system displays a confirmation message, click OK.

FAQ

What are the supported file formats for the document attachment with a Note?

The accepted file formats are "csv", "doc", "docx", "eml", "htm", "jpg", "mp4", "msg", "pdf", "png", "pptx", "rtf", "tif", "txt", "xls", "xlsb", "xlsx", "xltx", "xps", "zip". Note that, you can attach only one file per Note.
